Job Summary
Teach science to students in Grades 3–9 using engaging, standards-based instruction that incorporates hands-on investigations, laboratory activities, STEM projects, and interactive learning experiences. Foster scientific inquiry by encouraging students to ask questions, investigate, analyze data, and draw evidence-based conclusions across life, earth, physical, and environmental science topics. Differentiate instruction to meet diverse needs while maintaining a safe classroom and laboratory environment. Assess learning through quizzes, projects, labs, and presentations, and communicate regularly with parents regarding progress. Collaborate with faculty and administration to support school-wide initiatives and participate in professional development and parent conferences. Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and student records.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Science Education, Elementary Education, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of life, earth, physical, and environmental sciences
- Ability to create engaging, inquiry-based lessons and manage hands-on classroom activities safely
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning platforms
- Experience using educational technology, interactive simulations, and AI tools in the classroom
Desired Qualifications
- Previous teaching experience in elementary or middle school
