Job Summary
Teacher-Science for grades 6-9 provides leadership in an educational environment under the principal's supervision. Plans, selects and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet each student’s needs; maintains records and follows Henderson County Public Schools procedures; collaborates with parents, colleagues, and administrators; requires a valid NC Teaching License or eligibility, and a Bachelor's degree in an approved education program. The role is a 10-month, full-time position with an Exempt (FLSA) status and full benefits, located in East Flat Rock, North Carolina.
Required Qualifications
- valid NC Teaching License or eligibility to obtain one
- Bachelor’s degree in subject area from an approved education program
- National Board Certification is a preferred qualification
- equivalent combination of training and experience accepted
