Job Summary
Science classroom teacher for a Phoenix-area high school, responsible for creating a safe, intellectually challenging learning environment and actively engaging students with diverse needs. Designs and delivers instruction using varied methods, assesses student learning with formal and informal methods, maintains required records, communicates progress to parents, collaborates with colleagues and the community to support student learning, connects academic knowledge to real-life situations, engages in professional development, and demonstrates professional knowledge. Requires Arizona Secondary Teaching Certificate and a Bachelor's degree. Position is within a 9-month work year at Maryvale High School (Phoenix, AZ).
Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree
- Awareness of student needs (e.g., at-risk, ethnic, limited English proficient, exceptional)
- Essential Element of Effective Instruction (E.E.E.I.) training or willingness to participate in staff development
