Job Summary
Oversee educational activities within the childcare classroom and apply standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field. Establish and maintain supportive relationships with children and parents while working cooperatively in a team atmosphere. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. This Monday–Friday position offers hours ranging from 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. based on classroom needs. The role supports SEL's mission to make electric power safer, more reliable, and more economical for customers worldwide.
Required Qualifications
- Eighteen years of age or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1-2 years documented child care work related experience
- Ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team
- Background check results satisfactory to SEL and DEL
- Current Washington State Food Handlers Permit
- Current HIV/AIDS and blood borne pathogen training
- Current MMR vaccination
- Negative Mantoux TB test result(s)
- Current Infant, Child & Adult First Aid/CPR certified
- Meet STARS training requirement in the state of Washington and be listed in the State Training and Registry System
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to meet MVR Qualification Standards of SEL
- Current Child Abuse and Neglect Training
- Current Safe Sleep Training
- Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Negative drug test result(s)
