Job Summary
Plan and implement weekly lesson plans tailored to children's developmental needs while maintaining appropriate adult-to-child ratios. Document attendance, transitions, and incidents for each child, and manage classroom supplies and equipment in accordance with state regulations. Conduct parent conferences, report concerns to supervisors, and assist in maintaining cleanliness across program areas. Transport up to 14 children safely when required and fill in other classrooms as needed. Maintain records for the Child and Adult Care Food Program and attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possess high school diploma or GED
- Possess the ability and appropriate safe driving record to drive a vehicle, safely transporting up to 14 children, and to travel between locations for work-related purposes as needed
- A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and completion of YMCA Driver Orientation are required only for employees who will perform driving responsibilities as part of their role
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college or university preferred
- Six months experience working in early childhood field strongly preferred
