Job Summary
Para-Professional provides support to the teacher to ensure a safe, stimulating educational environment for students with mild to moderate disabilities. Responsibilities include assisting with lesson planning and preparation, developing instructional aids and materials, presenting subjects under teacher guidance, working with individuals or small groups, supporting progress toward IEP goals, maintaining student records, and potentially training staff or volunteers. Spanish-speaking preferred. Position is full-time at Heritage Middle School for the 2025-2026 school year within the Chino Valley Unified School District (4-day work week, Monday through Thursday).
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or 60+ semester hours
- Para Pro Assessment
- First Aid and CPR certification within 90 days of hire
- Arizona IVP fingerprint card
- Spanish speaking preferred
