Job Summary
Lead Teachers for infant/toddler classrooms (ages 6 weeks–24 months) in a licensed childcare setting, guiding children and engaging multilingual families in Urdu, Arabic, and/or Farsi. Design and implement developmentally appropriate activities, maintain a safe and inclusive classroom, and collaborate with families and staff through clear communication in English and the target language(s). Requires fluency in Urdu, Arabic, or Farsi; minimum high school diploma; 45 hours in Child Growth and Development; 45 hours in Infant-Toddler Certificate; and at least one year of infant experience or 30 college credits. Preferred additional degree in Early Childhood Development. Location: Ellicott City, MD (in-person).
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in Urdu, Arabic, or Farsi (spoken and written)
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- 45 hours in Child Growth and Development
- 45 hours in Infant-Toddler Certificate (required for 6 weeks – 24 months classrooms)
- Minimum one year of experience with infants in a licensed childcare facility or 30 college credits
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and target languages
