Job Summary

Actively supervise and engage children using zone supervision, name-to-face methods, and daily routines while adhering to the universal active supervision plan. Implement the HighScope Curriculum and Second Step kits to support school readiness goals across language, literacy, mathematics, and social-emotional functioning. Prepare daily lesson plans based on individualized goals and administer Child Observation Records to assess growth through anecdotal notes. Collaborate with the classroom team to foster developmentally appropriate learning experiences and maintain appropriate teacher-child interactions per RUCD behavior management procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Early Childhood Education with one year of paid experience working with young children
  • Associate degree in another field with at least 15 credit hours in Early Childhood Education

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (or another field approved by the agency) with at least 15 credit hours in Early Childhood Education
  • Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs
  • Accommodating and analytical, with a strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work
  • Supportive, approachable, and patient
  • Conscientious, cooperative, and enjoys detailed, skill-based work as part of a team
