Teacher - Reading Language Arts (AC New)

Plan, organize, and provide appropriate learning experiences within the assigned area(s) of responsibility. Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to students’ maturity, interests, and abilities. Guide the learning process toward achievement of district curriculum goals. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and media aligned with student needs. Assess student progress regularly, provide progress reports as required, and communicate with parents as deemed necessary. Identify the special needs of students and seek assistance of others as needed. Work cooperatively with special education teachers to modify curricula for students with IEPs. Develop and implement student behavior plans consistent with policies. Maintain accurate records as required by law and district policy. Be available to students and parents by appointment. Plan and supervise assignments for aides, volunteers, and student teachers, including written evaluations. Maintain ongoing professional growth and participate in the district teacher evaluation process. Attend campus and district meetings and traditional school-sponsored activities as required. Perform other duties as assigned.
