Job Summary
Teach at Premier High School and TexasWorks to deliver personalized instruction and build strong relationships, supporting credit recovery for high school students and diploma attainment for adult learners. Responsibilities include mastering the Premier High School Curriculum System, adapting instruction for diverse learners, administering tests, analyzing student progress and data, tutoring individuals or groups, collaborating with colleagues and administrators, implementing curriculum programs, and participating in extracurricular activities. Requires Texas State Teacher's Certification, a Bachelor’s degree with a passing TEXES/ExCET exam, and a Bachelor's with relevant subject-matter credentials; ability to interpret policies and student data; commitment to professional development and relationship-centered instruction using Capturing Kids Hearts. Required Qualifications
- Texas State Teacher's Certification in the subject to be taught
- Bachelor's degree with a passing score on the ExCET/TEXES Exam in the grade level or content area to be taught
- Bachelor's degree with an academic minor or major (minimum of 18 credit hours) in the core academic subject areas to be taught
- Bachelor's degree and documented successful, relevant work experience in the content area to be taught, established by at least one year of employment in a specific field or occupation that required the educator to demonstrate knowledge or skill in the content area
- Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and student data (e.g., test results, GPA, career interest surveys)
- Willingness to participate in extracurricular activities (Premier High School)
