Job Summary
Implement the district's instructional program by developing lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and presenting subject matter clearly to Pre-K through elementary students. Coordinate with the librarian for library experiences, supervise student safety during classes and activities, and maintain accurate records for evaluations, attendance, and materials. Initiate communications with parents to inform them of programs, student progress, and any issues, while cooperating with counselors, administrators, and other staff to support student welfare. Participate in special programs and remain current on education through workshops and conferences. Report to work daily per the schedule approved by the campus principal.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited College or University
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- At least one year of student teaching or approved internship
- Reading Certification for teachers applying to teach K-3 students or currently enrolled
Desired Qualifications
- Five years of successful classroom experience
- Reading Certification for teachers applying to teach Pre-k, Grade 4, and Grade 5
