Job Summary
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities for children from infancy through school age based on curriculum and objectives. Assist with small group and whole-group instruction, set up and guide learning centers, circle time, and structured play. Support physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development; encourage kindness, cooperation, and independence; foster problem-solving and positive relationships. Provide one-on-one attention when needed; supervise indoor/outdoor play and transitions; implement conscious discipline strategies and appropriate language/manners. Communicate effectively with parents and staff daily; share updates and milestones; assist with other classroom needs; maintain a clean, safe, inviting learning environment and follow health, safety, and licensing regulations. Participates in training sessions, staff meetings, and ongoing learning opportunities; mentorship available and opportunities for advancement. Teaching role requires Monday–Friday 7am–5:30pm; location: Myrtle Beach, SC.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- CDA, Associate’s Degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education or working toward completion. (Preferred not required)
- A minimum 6 months working in a licensed child care center.
- Be NSC First Aid/CPR/AED certified (or willing to obtain)
- Be able to work Monday - Friday 7am to 5:30pm (shift depends on necessity)
- Positive attitude, patience, and strong communication skills
