Job Summary
PE Teacher position requiring NC licensure with a BA/BS; deliver a broad range of teaching services, plan and deliver lesson schemes, assess students, use technology to support instruction, plan and prepare activities, maintain student confidentiality, promote positive behavior, contribute to extracurricular activities, and collaborate with families and staff to support student learning in accordance with NC standards.
Required Qualifications
- All lead teachers must hold, or be working toward an applicable North Carolina Standard Professional Educator's License
- Teachers that hold an Out of State License must apply for a license with the NC Department of Public Instruction
- Minimum BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university for teachers working toward required education and licensure
- Strong background in North Carolina Course of Study/Common Core and Essential Standards
- Must demonstrate leadership
- Must establish a respectful environment for a diverse population of students
- Must work collaboratively with families and significant adults in the lives of their students by improving communication and collaboration between the school and the home and community
- Must uphold the Code of Ethics and Standards for Professional Conduct
