Teacher - PE Middle/High School

The Physical Education Teacher for grades 6-12 develops and delivers standards-based physical education, health education, and movement activities (including rhythms and dance, individual/dual/team sports) aligned with core content standards. Responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, differentiating instruction to meet diverse student needs, establishing a safe and orderly PE environment, evaluating student growth, preparing report cards, and collaborating with fellow PE teachers to implement a balanced program. The role emphasizes Creative and resourceful use of space and materials, promoting healthy life practices, and engaging students across multiple grade levels; it requires Florida Certification in Physical Education and Health Education and 1-3 years of teaching experience in PE, with preferred ESE certification and experience working with students with special needs in urban settings.
