Job Summary
A temporary Teacher of Transition position at Woodmill High School, Dunfermline (Fife), 35 hours per week, contracted until August 2027. You will lead learning within your classroom, promote inclusion, diversity and equality, engage with stakeholders, and contribute to wider school improvements. You must have PVG clearance and be fully registered with GTCS (Primary or Secondary as applicable), with ongoing commitment to career-long professional learning and professional standards. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, collaboration within a team, and the ability to support positive outcomes for all learners. Applicants must provide a Supporting Statement (not a CV) outlining how you meet the GTCS values and professional commitment and demonstrate planning to meet learners’ needs. Salary is listed in GBP and converted to annual USD for reporting purposes. Location: Fife, United Kingdom.
Required Qualifications
- PVG scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland
- Full GTCS registration (Primary or Secondary as applicable)
- Provisional GTCS registration considered for temporary class teacher posts
- Fully registered to teach specified subjects (if applicable)
- Commitment to Professional Standards and professional learning
- Ability to model GTCS Professional Values and Professional Commitment
- Experience in promoting inclusion, diversity and equality; planning to meet diverse learner needs
- Experience with learning, teaching, assessment, and curriculum; using professional enquiry and research to inform practice
- Commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing responsibilities as per role
