Job Summary
10-month certificated position for Teacher of the Handicapped/Teachers of Students with Disabilities in the Tri-Valley Program (Lincoln/Dumont), Bergen County, NJ. Requires New Jersey DOE Certificate (Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities; Elementary CE/CEAS or standard). Experience working with individuals with Autism using ABA is preferred. Position involves physical work with frequent bending and lifting (ability to independently lift/carry up to 25 lbs., more than 25 lbs. with assistance) and crisis management training. Applicants must be a New Jersey resident within one year of hire. Compensation range $73,690 - $111,682.
Required Qualifications
- New Jersey DOE Certificate - Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities
- New Jersey DOE Certificate - Elementary (CE/CEAS or standard)
- Experience working with Autism utilizing ABA - preferred
- Willing and able to complete Crisis Management training
- Must reside in New Jersey within one year from date to hire
