Job Summary
A collaborative High School Special Education Teacher with a strong science background to provide instructional services during an FMLA leave. The candidate will support students with diverse learning needs while delivering science instruction and implementing IEPs in an inclusive high school setting, provide specialized instruction to students receiving special education services, teach high school science courses and adapt curriculum to meet individual student needs, develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations, collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families, maintain accurate student records, progress reports, and compliance documentation, participate in team meetings, case management activities, and professional collaboration, and foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Required Qualifications
- NJ DOE Teacher of Special Education
- Approved criminal history background check for district 3710
- Pass the Trash approval
- Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
- Current residency in New Jersey or approved residency waiver, or candidate agreement to obtain residency within one year of employment
