Job Summary
Licensed Special Education Teacher develops and provides specialized instruction to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities; evaluates student progress against instructional objectives; follows state mandated due process procedures; functions as IEP Manager for assigned students; implements annual IEP plans, coordinates delivery of services, collaborates with child study team, maintains records, and communicates with parents. Requires research-based instructional strategies, knowledge of IEP goals and related services, classroom management, use of technology for individualized instruction, and adherence to district policies, state/federal rules, and performance evaluations by building administration.
Required Qualifications
- WV Professional Teaching Certificate pursuant to WV Code §18A-3-2a
- Endorsement(s) aligned to job posting
- Criminal background check conducted pursuant to WV Code §18A-3-10
Additional Requirements
