Job Summary
Teach special education for the 18-21 year-old program at Monroe Township High School. Provide structured learning for the 18-21 TAPS program, using differentiated instruction, formative assessments to monitor student growth, and data collection/analysis (including data prompts, fading procedures, task-analysis, and shaping). Utilize instructional technology and current pedagogy aligned with high school philosophy. Requires New Jersey teaching certificate. Availability Sept 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027. Salary follows the MTEA Salary Guide ($54,047–$98,247) with benefits (health, dental, pension, sick/personal days, PD opportunities, EAP). All applicants must use Applitrack for applications.
Required Qualifications
- Must hold appropriate New Jersey teaching certificate
- successful teaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy
- differentiated instruction based upon learning styles
- Knowledge of high school philosophy and learning
- Ability to use formative assessments to collect and analyze student data to monitor and track student growth
- Knowledge of data collection and analysis, prompt hierarchy, fading procedures, task-analysis, and shaping
