Job Summary
Instruct students in music using varied teaching methods and audiovisual aids; implement the program of study; foster a classroom climate conducive to learning; monitor progress toward learning outcomes; utilize an instructional management system; maintain and upgrade professional skills; promote positive pupil-teacher-parent relations; and maintain professional work habits. Participate in faculty meetings and teacher workshops for professional development; sponsor related activities or student organizations; collaborate with department members and report to the principal within the building and system-wide programs. Endorsements required: Music PK-AD.
Required Qualifications
- Endorsements Required: Music PK-AD
- Graduate of a four-year college
- Function effectively as a member of an instructional team
- Maintain strong commitment to the subject matter that he/she teaches
- Works effectively with the community
- Has ability to adapt to differences and changes in pupil characteristics
Additional Requirements
- Applicants who have unsatisfactory evaluations
