Job Summary
Music education classroom instruction for elementary students, developing and implementing a curriculum that includes vocal music, rhythm, melody, movement, and introductory instruments. Plan engaging, standards-aligned lessons that foster creativity and teamwork; maintain a safe, inclusive classroom; organize instruments and materials; prepare students for concerts and school events; assess progress with constructive feedback; collaborate with colleagues and staff; communicate with parents about student progress and activities; stay current with music education trends and integrate technology; manage lesson planning, records, and program objectives as per district policies; participate in professional development and district-wide initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree; Missouri teacher certificate in Music Education K-12
- Preferred: 3+ years elementary music teaching experience
