Job Summary
Be part of Espanola Public Schools as the High School Band/Music Director, directing Concert/Marching Band, Percussion, Winds, Beginning Band, Jazz Band and Music Appreciation; collaborate with middle school band director, recruit students, develop curriculum, program literature, direct ensembles, and participate in a professional learning committee; role involves delivering high-quality music education to secondary students, with responsibilities including directing ensembles, developing repertoire, and fostering students' musical vocabulary, skills, and appreciation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Music Education degree or higher with emphasis in instrumental music
- NM Teaching License or equivalent with endorsement in 6-12 Music Education
- Student Teaching experience in a high-quality band program preferred
- High School Band Teaching Experience preferred
