Teacher-Music (5279)

Implement a differentiated instructional program in music using diverse genres to meet NYSED standards and the needs of students with and without disabilities. Develop and refine curriculum while assessing student accomplishments regularly to provide progress reports and grades. Maintain an environment conducive to learning by following Individualized Education Plans and implementing effective behavior management strategies with positive reinforcement. Provide direct supervision of a Teacher Assistant and participate in all required training, in-services, and Quality Improvement Program activities. Maintain appropriate records to sustain NYSED Teacher Certification. Assist in staff meetings and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
