Teacher - Moderate Disabilities Special Education, Sub./Sup., Gr. 5-8 (SEI Endorsement Required) (SY26-27)

Special Education Sub/Sep Teacher for grades 5-8 in Boston Public Schools. Responsibilities include implementing district learning goals and objectives aligned with state frameworks, providing small-group instruction to students with moderate to severe cognitive delays, writing and implementing IEPs with regular progress reports, providing accommodations for assessments, developing curriculum when needed, collecting and analyzing student work for progress toward MCAS Alternative Assessment, and collaborating with staff to support diverse learners. The role also involves assisting students transitioning to adult living services when appropriate, and demonstrating core competencies in accountability for student achievement, clear communication of content, equitable and engaging instruction, cultural proficiency, family engagement, and professional reflection and collaboration. Qualifications emphasize a Bachelor's degree, Massachusetts licensure in Moderate Disabilities, ESL or SEI endorsement, and eligibility to work in the United States.
