Job Summary
Special Education/Resource Room teacher with SEI Endorsement sought to implement district learning goals, provide small-group instruction for students with moderate to severe cognitive delays, develop and monitor IEP-based goals, and prepare students for assessments (including MCAS Alternative). Responsibilities include delivering differentiated instruction, providing accommodations, collaborating with school staff, and supporting transitions to adult living services as appropriate. Core competencies include data-informed planning, high expectations, equitable instruction, family engagement, reflective practice, and professional collaboration. Must maintain professional knowledge, engage with families, and contribute to a supportive learning environment aligned with BPS standards.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a bachelor's degree.
- Hold a Massachusetts Teaching License in Moderate Disabilities for the appropriate grade level.
- Hold either ESL License at the appropriate level or SEI Endorsement.
- Meet all state and federal guidelines in order to be fully licensed and Highly Qualified.
- Current authorization to work in the United States - Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment.
