Job Summary
General Education Teacher role at Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center in Prescott Valley, AZ. Full-time, on-site classroom instruction for adolescents with behavioral health needs. Responsibilities include academic diagnosis, planning and delivering varied instructional activities, maintaining IEPs, safeguarding student safety, documentation, and facilitating vocational awareness and field-trips. Requires Bachelor's degree, Arizona State Certification in relevant area, ability to pass background and obtain Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, and typically two years of combined education/experience in human services or related fields. Emphasis on trauma-informed practices and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must be able to pass a thorough background check
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Bachelor's degree required
- Arizona State Certification in area subjects
- Evidence of teaching degree and certification
- Two years of combined education and/or relevant experience in human services/behavioral health/social services or related field
