Job Summary
Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core social studies subject to help them fulfill their potential. Develop and implement lesson plans aligned to district curriculum, assess student learning, modify curricula with special education staff as needed, manage classroom behavior, and maintain professional communication with parents and colleagues. Collaborate to support students with IEPs, participate in staff development, and ensure compliance with Texas Education Agency guidelines and district policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- One year student teaching or approved internship
