Job Summary
Instruct students in Mathematics in a classroom setting, implementing the program of study and employing various teaching methods with audiovisual aids. Responsibilities include fostering a conducive learning climate, utilizing an instructional management system to maximize time on task and student learning, monitoring progress toward learning outcomes, maintaining professional skills, and promoting positive pupil–teacher–parent relations. Additional duties include sponsoring one or more special activities or student organizations, participating in faculty meetings and educational conferences, and collaborating with colleagues to support building and system-wide objectives. Endorsement required: Mathematics 5-AD.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a four-year college
- Endorsement in Mathematics 5-AD
- Ability to adapt to differences and changes in pupil characteristics
- Functions effectively as a member of an instructional team
- Maintains professional work habits
- Works effectively with the community
