Job Summary
Develop and implement lesson plans for 7th-grade accelerated math, presenting subject matter aligned with Texas Education Agency guidelines. Prepare lessons accommodating diverse learning styles and conduct assessments to guide instructional activities. Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula per Individual Education Plans and supervise assigned teacher aides. Manage student behavior according to the Student Code of Conduct while fostering a classroom environment conducive to intellectual and social growth. Establish open communication with parents, students, and staff, and maintain all required reports and records. Participate in faculty meetings and staff development activities to enhance instructional skills.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned (Special Education and Generalist)
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- At least one-year student teaching or approved internship
Desired Qualifications
- ESL Certification preferred
