Job Summary
Math teacher at EMNRBS delivering standards-aligned, high-quality instruction across assigned Mathematics courses, including 4-6 sections, with emphasis on problem-solving connections to other STEM areas; lead advisory for 20-25 students; collaborate with ICT/SPED colleagues to implement co-teaching and IEP-driven instruction; communicate with families and the Bronx community; use data-driven planning, planning and norming meetings, and professional development to drive student achievement and Regents exam readiness; support interdisciplinary STEM initiatives and equity-centered curriculum while mentoring students and engaging in ongoing professional responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Mathematics (strongly preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics (required)
- Valid NYS Teaching Certification (or in active process)
- Experience teaching in a public or charter high school with a track record of growth
- Experience designing curriculum and lessons
- Experience differentiating for diverse learners
- Commitment to working with BIPOC teens from the South Bronx
- Commitment to high standards and professional conduct
