Job Summary

Teach appropriate grade-level standard-based curriculum to students in a multi-intensive special education setting for 6th through 8th grade while the classroom teacher is absent. Counsel students to support achievement, monitor conduct and behavior, and observe performance, social development, and physical health. Prepare educational course outlines, objectives, and materials; present subject matter using various methods and technology; instruct individually and in groups; and prepare, administer, and grade tests and assignments. Communicate with parents, teachers, and administrators to resolve behavioral and academic problems. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Education, a valid Colorado teaching license, and a permanent Colorado address. Applications are due August 10, 2026, with positions filled August 1 through October 8, 2026.

Required Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
  • Have a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community
  • believe in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position
