Job Summary

Teach appropriate grade-level standard-based curriculum to students with moderate needs in 6th-8th grade while the classroom teacher is absent for an extended period. Counsel students to encourage achievement, monitor conduct, and report on performance, behavior, and social development. Prepare course outlines, objectives, and materials; present subject matter using various methods; and administer tests to evaluate progress. Communicate with parents, teachers, and administrators to resolve behavioral and academic problems. Requires a Bachelor's Degree, valid Colorado teaching license, and a Colorado residence.

Required Qualifications

  • Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
  • Have a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license
  • Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education
  • Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado
  • Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position
