Job Summary
Teach appropriate grade level standard-based curriculum to students, following district-approved materials while the classroom teacher is absent for an extended period. Counsel students to encourage achievement, monitor conduct, and reinforce positive behaviors per school policy. Prepare course outlines, objectives, and lesson materials; present subject matter using varied methods and technology; instruct individually and in groups; and administer, grade, and report on tests and assignments. Communicate with parents, teachers, and administrators to resolve behavioral and academic issues. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in education, a valid Colorado teaching license, and a permanent Colorado address. Schedule runs August 20, 2026, through October 30, 2026.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
- Have a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license
- Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado
- Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position
