Job Summary
Teach appropriate grade-level standard-based curriculum to students in a kindergarten or second-grade ELA-S classroom while the classroom teacher is absent for an extended period. Counsel students to encourage achievement, monitor conduct, and report on performance, behavior, and physical health. Prepare course outlines, administer tests, and communicate with parents and administrators to resolve behavioral and academic problems. Present subject matter using various methods and adjust teaching styles to meet student learning needs. This temporary position runs from September 14, 2026, to November 20, 2026, with a salary of $30.00 per hour. A Bachelor's Degree in Education and a valid Colorado teaching license are required, with Spanish-speaking skills highly desired.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
- Have a valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado
- Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position
