Job Summary
Manage daily operations of the Wentworth Library in collaboration with the co-Teacher Librarian, curating diverse, inclusive, and engaging library collections (digital and physical). Handle library administrative responsibilities such as cataloging and circulation to maintain the extensive collection and the Library website. Inspire a love of reading by championing a reading culture within the school and collaborating with faculty to lead weekly library sessions for students Grades JK-7. Provide expert readers' advisory services to students, faculty, and families while guiding them in using library catalogues, research databases, and e-books. This 0.8 FTE Temporary Contract position supports Collingwood School's vision of socially responsible students pursuing passions for a better world on its Wentworth Campus in West Vancouver, BC, for the 2026–2027 school year.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor of Education in elementary education with a strong literacy or English background
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience
- A genuine passion for teaching literacy
- Strong classroom management skills
- Confidence teaching both primary and intermediate aged students
- BC Teaching Certification
- Basic First Aid
- Canadian residency and legally entitled to work in Canada

- Demonstrated communications skills (oral and written)

Desired Qualifications
