Job Summary
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and Texas Education Agency guidelines while accommodating diverse student learning styles. Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement through formal and informal testing to guide instructional activities and modify curricula for special education students per Individual Education Plans. Manage student behavior according to the Student Code of Conduct, create a conducive learning environment, and supervise assigned teacher aides. Establish communication with parents, colleagues, and community members, and participate in staff development and faculty meetings as required. Perform other duties assigned by administrators consistent with general teacher requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- At least one-year student teaching or approved internship

- ESL and GT Certification Preferred
