Job Summary
Develop and deliver engaging kindergarten-level instruction aligned with district curriculum; plan and implement lessons, assess student achievement, and document preparation; collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEPs; manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment; sponsor extracurricular activities; maintain communication with parents and community; adhere to district policies and provide a safe, supportive classroom suitable for developmental needs; ensure daily attendance and punctuality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for the subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- ESL certification
- TX Reading Academies Certificate required for K-3 teachers
- Satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check (non-refundable fee paid by candidate)
