Job Summary
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum; use instructional strategies and materials to meet diverse student needs; assess student learning and adjust instruction; collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula for IEPs; oversee instructional aides/volunteers and coordinate activities; maintain professional communication with parents and community; participate in staff development and comply with regulations; ensure safety and compliance with district policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or related training and work experience for certification waivers under the District of Innovation Plan (DOI)
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
