Job Summary
Kindergarten Teacher responsible for delivering TEKS-aligned instruction and learning activities, conducting ongoing assessments, implementing approved curricula, and supporting student growth across academic, social, and emotional development. The role requires ESL certification, Texas Teacher Certificate, collaboration with staff to meet district objectives, effective use of instructional technology, data-driven planning, and engagement with families and program committees (e.g., RTI, 504, ELPS) to support diverse learners. Responsibilities include instructional management, classroom environment, student progress reporting, and participation in professional development and campus activities. Location: Bastrop, Texas (in-person school-based position).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- ESL Supplemental certification
- Knowledge of TEKS and ELPS for assigned area
- Knowledge of curriculum design, implementation, evaluation
- Knowledge of instructional and evaluation methodologies
- Skill in using technology as a learning tool in all content areas
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues to enhance instructional practices
- Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
