Job Summary
Teach and support children with special needs by fostering cognitive, social-emotional, and motor development throughout the day. Work in an early intervention/day treatment setting with a team of licensed therapists and nurses to deliver habilitation services. Provide patient-centered, culturally responsive instruction to birth to age 7 children, coordinate with families, and ensure safety and accurate documentation while promoting inclusive learning and development. Join a culture of collaborative care and support for children and families served by KULA, delivering services across developmental domains and participating in evaluations and programming as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's Degree plus one of the following:
- Current Arkansas Certification in Early Childhood Special Education
- A current Child Development Associate Certificate
- 12 hours of completed college courses in one of the following areas-early childhood, child development, special education/elementary education or child and family studies and documented experience in working with children with special needs
- Experience/ Knowledge required: Prefer at least one year of successful experience in a classroom setting working with developmentally at-risk children or equivalent combination of education and experience
