Job Summary
Elementary school teacher provides instruction under moderate supervision, developing and delivering lessons for K-6 students, planning and evaluating student progress, and aligning with district standards. Responsibilities include creating lesson plans, using diverse instructional methods, administering tests, maintaining records (including IEPs and 504 Plans), communicating with parents, and supporting student learning within NC standards. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and NC teaching certification (or eligibility), with strong emphasis on classroom management, assessment, data-informed instruction, and professional collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Valid NC Teaching certification or eligible for NC Teaching certification in assigned area
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
