Teacher, K-6/5th Grade ELA/ (26-27)

K-6/5th Grade ELA elementary teacher responsible for planning and delivering instruction, developing lesson plans, and ensuring all student needs are met. responsibilities include instructing students individually and in groups, assessing progress, maintaining records for IEPs and 504 Plans, administering tests, collaborating with parents/guardians and administrators, and aligning with North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards. The role requires establishing clear learning objectives, utilizing diverse teaching methods, and employing effective classroom management. Proficiency with technology (Microsoft Office and Google Workspace) and the ability to implement local, state, and federal rules is needed. A Bachelor’s degree and NC Teaching certification (or eligibility) are required, with equivalent combinations of education and experience also acceptable. The position is Full-time, 10 months, located in Charlotte, NC at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.
