Teacher-JROTC Air Force (26-27SY)

Full-time, 10-month JROTC-focused classroom teaching role in Hendersonville, NC under Henderson County Public Schools. The Teacher provides leadership in an educational environment, develops and modifies instructional plans to meet each student’s needs, maintains records, and follows school procedures. Responsibilities include planning a program of study that meets student needs, creating a classroom environment that fosters learning, coordinating and continuously improving instruction, preparing for classes, employing instructional methods and assessment techniques to motivate and enable student achievement, monitoring student performance, ensuring safety, and building relationships with parents, colleagues, administrators, and the community. Availability to students and parents outside instructional hours as requested; self-assessment of effectiveness; attending staff meetings and performing duties as required by the Principal. Must hold a valid NC Teaching License or have qualifications to obtain one; National Board Certification is a preferred qualification.
