Job Summary
Provide quality instruction to students with sensory impairments in Arizona; develop daily lesson plans; evaluate student progress to determine appropriate program, and write/implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Requires a college degree in education with sensory-impairment coursework, AZ teaching certificate with endorsement (O&M requires ACVREP), and ability to pass FBI/state background checks. Includes 40 hours/week over a 10-month calendar; duties include student instruction, planning, evaluation, and collaboration within the program. Required Qualifications
- College/University Degree in Education with coursework specific to sensory impairments
- State of Arizona Teaching Certificate with appropriate endorsement for each position (Teacher O&M requires ACVREP Certification in lieu of ADE certification)
- Secondary teaching positions must possess the necessary coursework as required by Department of Education
- Must be able to pass FBI and State background check
