Job Summary
Provide academic and behavioral support to students with or at risk of having a learning disability, delivering instruction aligned to Minnesota state standards and district requirements. Utilize diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments to inform instructional decisions and enhance student self-management. Potential collaboration with campus STEM team to integrate cross-disciplinary practices, and regular communication with families to support learning and decision-making. Implement engaging, safety-focused instruction that is culturally responsive and designed to meet diverse student needs; contribute to ongoing professional development and school improvement goals. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree and a valid Minnesota teaching license (or pending licensure); prior experience teaching in urban/multicultural settings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minnesota teaching license or proof of pending approved licensure
- Prior successful experience student teaching or teaching in an urban, multicultural education setting
- Demonstrated continued professional development through course work, research, peer collaboration and/or job-embedded staff development
- Knowledge of Minnesota State Standards and District Graduation Requirements
- Ability to collaborate with families and communicate regularly with families
