Job Summary
Provide direct instruction to small groups of 6th graders at the strategic intervention level, supplementing core math instruction with explicit, systematic teaching of specific skills and concepts. Assist in screening, diagnostic, and progress monitoring assessments while analyzing student data to determine instructional placements and focus. Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to implement effective instructional plans, develop flexible homogeneous groupings, and prepare lesson plans and materials aligned with curriculum guidelines. Monitor student behavior, observe performance and social development, and prepare required reports. Administer and grade tests to evaluate progress using District software. May participate in extra-duty activities such as coaching or tutoring.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Minimum of three (3) years experience working in a public school setting
- Experience and record of success in increasing student achievement
- Experience or training in evidence-based interventions
- Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license
- Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position
- Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado
