Job Summary
Formalize weekly lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and determine student performance through informal and formal assessments. Plan and implement activities addressing the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of children using discovery-based and hands-on learning methods. Maintain accurate educational assessments and progress notes for assigned students while training and supervising teacher assistants. Meet with parents throughout the year to discuss child progress and attend staff meetings, open houses, and back-to-school nights.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education or the human services field
- Ability to communicate with parents effectively and professionally
- Experience with Lesson planning and development
