HS Teacher for Head Start in Hermiston, OR: Plan and coordinate Education/Disabilities activities; develop daily and weekly activity plans; assess each child’s developmental needs with families to set goals for school readiness; implement learning environments indoors and outdoors; conduct Parent/Staff conferences and encourage parent participation in curriculum planning; coordinate home visits and maintain Family Partnership goals; supervise and support a Teacher Assistant; ensure developmentally appropriate activities and compliance with Head Start/OPK policies; coordinate health, nutrition, social services and community resources; maintain records, communicate with families and staff, and participate in staff development; required qualifications include BA preferred or Associates’ Degree in ECE or CDA with experience; current CPR/First Aid and Food Handler cards; able to drive and meet background/health requirements; strong multi-cultural communication and ability to engage families in the education process.
