Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Home Economics teacher to lead learning within the classroom, promote inclusion, diversity and equality, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve outcomes for all children and young people. The role requires GTCS registration (Primary or Secondary as applicable), PVG scheme membership, and a strong commitment to lifelong professional learning. You will model the Professional Standards and values, plan to meet diverse learner needs, build positive relationships within the school community, and use innovative approaches and digital technologies to motivate and engage learners. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching in line with GTCS expectations and contributing to wider school improvements through effective collaboration and communication.
Required Qualifications
- Full GTCS registration for the relevant sector (Primary or Secondary)
- PVG scheme membership via Disclosure Scotland
- GTCS registration in Primary or Secondary as applicable
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional learning
- Ability to model professional standards and behaviours expected of a teacher in Scotland
