Job Summary
The Teacher for Gads Hill Center’s Center-Based Early Childhood program is responsible for delivering early childhood education services, ensuring adherence to licensing standards, and collaborating with the teaching team. Key responsibilities include planning and implementing educational activities, documenting children's growth, conducting home visits, and developing relationships with parents. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, relevant credentials, and experience working with diverse populations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Illinois Gateways Infant Toddler Level 4 credential
- One (1) year previous direct early childhood classroom experience with low-income families
- Ability to pass a criminal record and child abuse/neglect registry check
Desired Qualifications
- Illinois Gateways Infant Toddler Level 5 credential preferred
- Experience with multi-cultural programming preferred
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred
- Excellent interpersonal communication and organization skills

- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds (average child’s weight)
